Transition Pop-Up Cafe

Dear friends

You are invited to join us for the launch of the New Forest transition pop-up cafe, to be held on Wednesday 4th March in Lymington. It is the first of regular monthly community gatherings where we share food and good company. We hope it will enable members to meet and chat in relaxed environment and be a means of introducing potential new members to what we do.

Future dates (provisional) are:  Wed 1 April, Tues 5 May, Thurs 4, June, Thurs 2 July.

We will provide soup (vegan), bread, pudding (vegan), teas (including herbal!) and water.  The pop-up cafe is to be held at different transition members homes, until we find a fixed location.  We are looking for volunteers to host!

We ask that any food you bring to share is vegetarian. This is in part because it makes sharing easier and in part because it is consistent with Transition principles which seek to promote a low carbon lifestyle (there is overwhelming evidence that a vegetarian diet is, generally, lower carbon than a meat-based one).

Here are the details:

Open to: NF Transition members plus their families and up to one friend each.
Venue: central Lymington (subsequent dinners may be held elsewhere in
the Forest)
Time: arrival from 7.30 pm, for eating at 8pm; 10 pm close.
What to bring:  Food to share and something to drink.
