Local Groups

Want to get involved in Transition? Meet people who are passionate about their local community and care about the impact we have on the world? Then come along to one of the local group meetings or events. If there is no group near to you then contact us and we’ll let you know of transitioners nearby or help you start your own group.

Hale and Redlynch Transition Group set up the Hale Local Food Market in March 2010 to bring local food producers and customers together once a month, on the 3rd Saturday, in Hale Village Hall, Hatchet Green, Hale, SP6 2NE. A wide variety of great food products are available, including trout, cheese, fruit & vegetables, chutney, fresh meat, pies & sausages, bread, honey, beer, cakes and chocolate. There’s a Fair Trade stall and a basket maker who can make bespoke baskets for you. Our customers say they also love the friendly atmosphere and wonderful coffee and cakes! For more information email Paula at pdownard@lineone.net.

If you live near Hale or Redlynch and would like to get involved in running the market, or helping to develop other sustainable community projects please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
