Want to get involved in Transition? Meet people who are passionate about their local community and care about the impact we have on the world? Then come along to one of the local group meetings or events. If there is no group near to you then contact us and we’ll let you know of transitioners nearby or help you start your own group.
Minstead Study Centre
Minstead has an informal group of those interested in Transition activities.
There are many village events focused around the Minstead Study Centre, supported by local residents who share the aims and values of the Centre. Minstead Study Centre is one of the leading sustainable education establishments providing residential visits for school children; teaching them to working co-operatively, take responsibility for their actions and understand the need to live sustainably.
The Centre runs community skills courses over the weekends and holds an annual apple day. To find out more about the Centre and local activity in Minstead contact Jane at email@example.com or 023 8081 3437.
Hale & Redlynch Transition
Hale and Redlynch Transition Group set up the Hale Local Food Market in March 2010 to bring local food producers and customers together once a month, on the 3rd Saturday, in Hale Village Hall, Hatchet Green, Hale, SP6 2NE. A wide variety of great food products are available, including trout, cheese, fruit & vegetables, chutney, fresh meat, pies & sausages, bread, honey, beer, cakes and chocolate. There’s a Fair Trade stall and a basket maker who can make bespoke baskets for you. Our customers say they also love the friendly atmosphere and wonderful coffee and cakes! For more information email Paula at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you live near Hale or Redlynch and would like to get involved in running the market, or helping to develop other sustainable community projects please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
We started linking with our community in the summer of 2019 and hoping to have a launch event this Autumn/ Winter time.
We already have some growing space and give out upcycled fabric Boomerang Bags. We want to promote wild flowers on the verges of Holbury and Fawley and have a friend with a quadcoptor, so now looking to explore neighbours gutters for moss build up.
